Finding Home in My BloomSpark Design Studio Journey

After a year-long journey, I am overjoyed to announce that the BloomSpark Design studios are officially up and running! Choosing the right aesthetic for my art studio was a labor of love, and I decided to incorporate purple as the accent color because it represents the spirit of BloomSpark. It's incredible to finally be creating in my own space, and I am excited to share the unique features that make this studio feel like home.

One of the biggest challenges was figuring out the best storage solutions for my art supplies. Keeping everything organized while still feeling accessible is essential for my creative process. After several trial and error moments, I found a system that not only works but also adds charm to the studio. With each new organization method I implement, I find that it brings me closer to a perfect flow for my work.

My children often share this vibrant space with me, turning it into a hub of creativity and family bonding. Whether it’s munching on a bag of chips under my desk or focusing on their homework in the cozy chair next to me, having them around allows me to stay connected to my family while pursuing my passion. It makes the studio even more special, as I can easily pop in and out of different activities.

To protect my ongoing projects from potential mishaps—like an adventurous sharpie making its way onto my paintings or cabinets—I designed the studio with doors that close to secure my work. This thoughtful consideration ensures that my creative environment remains both functional and safe for my creations.

For illumination, I chose a bubble chandelier to light up the space. I am in love with how it captures the essence of ideas in action, much like the creative process itself. Every time I see it, I’m reminded of my visions for the future, where great ideas flourish not only from me, but also from anyone who joins me in this studio. This space isn't solely mine; it is a collective creative sanctuary for my family and me.

To maximize the vertical space, I installed pin boards on the walls that stretch all the way up to the ceiling. These boards will serve as mood boards—an essential component of my surface pattern designs. They will provide a continuous reference point that fuels my creative energy and helps me remain inspired.

At the heart of my studio lies my workspace, divided into two distinct areas: one dedicated to digital work and another for painting and hands-on creativity. This separation allows me to compartmentalize my tasks effectively while keeping my supplies readily available. It’s here that my ideas transform into tangible creations, shaping my first-ever pattern collection.

Completing my art studio has proven to be an exhilarating milestone. With the space now ready, I’m turning my attention towards launching my website and officially getting BloomSpark Designs off the ground. It feels like the BloomSpark train is on the fast track to success, and the excitement is palpable.

This journey has taught me the importance of patience and persistence. The space that I’ve created represents not just my artistic vision but also the collaborative spirit I hope to foster within my family. It’s gratifying to see how this studio can open up new avenues for creativity and expression.
